Since December 2019, novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) patients have been discovered successively in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. The disease mainly spreads through respiratory droplets and close contacts. The epidemic situation of COVID-19 in China is grim and complicated. COVID-19 has been incorporated into category-B infectious disease stipulated in the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act of the People’s Republic of China, and preventive and control measures for category-A infectious diseases have been taken. As the only Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Defense Medical Service Force in the whole army and the only military hospital that has been designated to treat COVID-19 patients in Beijing area during the epidemic, our center has undertaken the tasks in pre-hospital treatment, transfer and treatment of confirmed patients with COVID-19. The center has achieved “zero infection” of its staffs and successfully completed the tasks entrusted by the state and the army. This article summarizes the experiences in personnel selection, training, preparation of medical logistics materials, construction of rules and regulations, staff management and other aspects, to provide guidance for future epidemic prevention and control. |
